Introduction
In order to cooperate with the development of national language policy, build a multi-language friendly environment, and improve students’ Hakka language proficiency and Hakka cultural literacy at the university level, the center designs courses to cultivate basic Hakka language skills as compulsory courses, and also designs elective courses from three aspects: “Language Studies”, “Hakka Literature” and “Hakka Ethnic Groups and Culture” to integrate Hakka language and Hakka culture into students’ lives. The regulations on courses that can be exempted from the program are set according to the level of Hakka language proficiency certification, so as to encourage students to actively obtain Hakka language proficiency certification.
