I. Purpose of the Competition
To cultivate students’ oral expression skills and enhance their Hakka language proficiency through a Hakka reading competition.
This competition integrates the Hakka language with the Hakka Culture Program, encouraging students to apply Hakka in daily use, and boosting their motivation and effectiveness in learning Hakka.
II. Eligibility
Enrolled students of the National Taiwan University System (National Taiwan Normal University, National Taiwan University, and National Taiwan University of Science and Technology) in the first semester of Academic Year 114.
III. Competition Schedule
Registration Period: September 1 (Mon) – September 30 (Tue), 2025
Announcement of Reading Passages: September 1 (Mon), 2025
Announcement of Drawing Lots Results & Competition Schedule: October 3 (Fri), 2025
Reading Competition: October 9 (Thu), 2025, 18:30
Results Announcement: October 9 (Thu) – October 10 (Fri), 2025 (subject to adjustment based on the number of participants and judges’ deliberations)
IV. Venue
Classrooms at the Main Campus of National Taiwan Normal University (specific room to be announced).
V. Awards
First Prize: 1 winner, NT$5,000 and a certificate.
Second Prize: 1 winner, NT$3,000 and a certificate.
Honorable Mention: 1–3 winners, NT$2,000 and a certificate.
(Note: Proof of participation will be awarded to all registered students who attend the competition. If entries do not meet the required standard, some prizes may be withheld.)
VI. Registration
During the registration period, please complete the online registration form via Google Form (opens in a new window) and upload the required attachments. The organizer will conduct eligibility review and send a confirmation email of successful registration within three working days. Please check your email regularly.
